I went to class number 2 last night for Final Cut Express and learned how to use the color key filter to filter out the white background from the Munch Cam Logo. I am not sure if it is best to have it masked out and laying over a still image or to keep the logo on a white background? Remember that each munch video will have a different still image so the logo may be harder or easier to read each time.
I then headed back to the studio (my newly vamped up home office) with a bag of chips and pretzels to create the munch sounds for the logo. After loading up on chips I believe I came up with a good mix of munch sounds and timed them for each bite of the logo. I also think that the music is a great background for the munches towards the end of the logo.
I changed the MLS logo at the end and played with fading out the sound of the music track. I asked about the ability to filter out the generator noise in the woodchuck munch and it can not be done with the software I have. I would need Sound Soap for that. I would like to re-shoot the video for the woodchuck and take her out of that back hallway. I really love the video of the woodchuck but the sound is bad. We may be able to use the same video with a different munch if it lines up but I am not that worried.
I also added a parametric equalizer audio filter to each munch sound to increase the frequency and gain of the animals munching. The difference it made is not that much and in my opinion not worth the effort.
FORGOT: I just realized that I forgot to add a title to this video. I will go back and add it to the frames right after the munch logo disappears. I will not worry about uploading a new video here since it takes too long to do so.
Please leave your comments for me so that I can make improvements and have this ready for launch on our website ASAP.
Thanks!!
